Theresa C. Fleege

Theresa C. Fleege (June 5, 1930-February 14, 2023) Theresa Fleege was born Theresa Poduska in Laurens, IA on June 5th, 1930 and grew up on her family farm. She married Charles Fleege on June 16, 1956 and they gave birth to their son Robert D. Fleege on April 9, 1957. For a number of years she was a hairdresser and ran a salon out of her home. Theresa developed her career at the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) agency for the Department of Agriculture. After she and her husband retired, Theresa and Charles enjoyed "snow-birding" in Arizona with a community of active seniors. Theresa loved life, enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends, and was devoted to her Catholic Faith. She loved to golf, ride motorcycles with her husband, play cards, and was a fantastic cook. Theresa passed away on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023, at Bickford Cottages where she had lived since March 2013. She will be remembered for her kind and generous heart and her beautiful beaming smile. Visitation will be held on Saturday February 18th at 9:30am followed by the funeral at 10:30 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fort Dodge, IA. Theresa will be laid to rest in Pocahontas, IA. Services provided by Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. She is survived her her son, Bob Fleege and wife Barb of Ames, grandsons Daniel Fleege of Portland, OR, Dean Fleege and wife Mindy of Council Bluffs, IA, great-granddaughter, Elena, of Council Bluffs and sister Linda Driscoll of Parchment, MI.
