Thomas Brown

Thomas Edward Brown, 91, of Lake Havasu City, AZ, formerly of Fort Dodge, for the last 23 years, passed away peacefully, Friday, October 18th at 2pm of natural causes.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on December 4, 2024, at Laufersweiler Funeral Home with Pastor Doug officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Rites by the US Army Honor Guard and VFW Post 1856. There will be a visitation 1 hour prior to the services at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.

Tom is survived by his three daughters, Debbie, Tammy and Laurie; his adopted children, Melinda and Joe; and several stepchildren.

Thomas Edward Brown was born on December 4,1932, in Loveland, Oklahoma. He served as a Corporal in the US Army during the Korean war from 1951 until 1954 in the 7th Infantry, Dixie Division. In 1954, Tom married Shirley Mae Dorough, they were married for 23 years. The couple later divorced. In 1979, Tom married Joan Pritchard and were married for 28 years until Joan passed away in 2007. Tom met yet another amazing woman Doris Grell "Dot". Although the couple never married, they were together for 13 years until Dot passed in 2021.

Thomas was a man of God who loved and served his community and country throughout his life. After his time in the military, he started his career as a barber and flourished with a wide range of hobbies. He shared his knowledge, skills and passion for these hobbies with his family and friends throughout the later years of his life. His days were filled with antique collection and restoration, playing guitar at jams with his friends and enjoying old Western shows and films. Tom touched the souls of everyone he came in contact with...
