Thomas Parks, 54 of Fort Dodge passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. John Elkin officiating. A visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. TODAY at the funeral home. Thomas is survived by his wife, Jane; children, Dylan Drummond of Fort Dodge; Jeremy Parks of Ames; Andrew (Marissa) Parks of Moorland; Jayme (Billy) Peters of Fort Dodge; Thomas "Trey" Parks III of Algona; Jesse (Bonnie) Parks of Iowa City; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Deb Brayton of Fort Dodge; Cindy (Jace) MacDonald of Callender; Doug (Maxine) Parks of Florida; Jeff (Larae) Parks of Laughlin, NV; and Kevin (Tracy) Parks of Fort Dodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Kay (Peterson) Parks; son, Jacob Drummond; and infant brother, Terry Parks. Thomas Parks was born on January 10, 1959 in Fort Dodge. He attended schools here and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1978. In 1979, he was united in marriage to Vicky Haffner and they made their home in Fort Dodge. The couple later divorced. Tom worked for U.S.G. for several years and many years at Tom Thumb Drive Inn. In 1986, he was united in marriage to Jane Walker. Tom was currently employed with R.E.G. Renewable Energy Group in Ralston. He enjoyed computer games, Chevy Camaros, and loved spending time with his family. Besides being a very talented artist, Tom enjoyed telling bad jokes. He was a lifelong San Francisco 49ers Football Fan. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
