Thomas Mcdonald

Thomas N. McDonald, 48, of Fort Dodge, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at his home. A Celebration of Life will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Thomas is survived by his wife, Kim; step-children, Sarah Shineflew; Danny Shineflew; Brian Shineflew, all of Des Moines; granddaughters, Makayla Sorter; and another baby girl on the way; brothers, John (Chris) McDonald of Denver; Joe McDonald of Fort Dodge; Timothy (Laura) McDonald of Webster City; and sister, Tracy (Tim) Adams of Markelville, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Theresa (Bradley) McDonald; sister, Mary Ann; and brother, Terry. Thomas Norman McDonald was born December 13, 1966 in Fort Dodge. He attended the Fort Dodge Catholic Schools and graduated from St. Edmond High School. Thomas later attended Iowa Central Community College. Tom spent all his adult life in Fort Dodge, working for various businesses in town. He was united in marriage to Kim Nelson in 2013. Tom was an avid reader, helped many people by donating his blood whenever he could, and enjoyed being in the company of others. He also was extremely generous and helped the less fortunate often. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
