Todd "Rez" Resseguie, 51, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 11th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home and Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with James Rogers, officiating. The family requests that everyone please wear their favorite L.A. Dodgers or Chicago Bears apparel.
Survivors include his mother and father Lorraine and Ron Eckman of Fort Dodge, sisters Angela Richardson of Barnum, Tina (Brant) Farrand of Otho, “his boys” Eric (Ashley) Oberg and Patrick (Dani) Oberg, “his girls” Melissa “Bubba” (Jason) Jones, Maranda (Andy) Geerdes, and Maggie Richardson, several aunts, uncles, cousins, several great nieces and nephews, and his dog Ty.
He was preceded in death by his dad Don Resseguie, grandparents Oakley and Dorathy Clark, Byron (Barney) Ivalee Aschenbrenner, several aunts, uncles, cousins and his beloved Diva.
Todd Alan Resseguie was born on October 4, 1972, in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated here. He graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1992. Rez was then off on his life’s adventures. He traveled and did several jobs including being a cook and construction. He made his home in New Orleans, California, Arizona, Texas, and Nebraska. Rez eventually returned to Fort Dodge. He loved being a great uncle – the one and only fun uncle. Rez was always willing to help anyone that needed it. Rez was an avid L.A. Dodgers and Chicago Bears fan. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Rez was a friend of Dr. Bob and Bill Wilson.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
