Trent Kay

Trent E. Kay, 40, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

A Celebration of Trent's life will be held on Sunday, January 7th, 2024, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Laufersweiler Funeral Home.

Survivors include his parents Betty and Randy Kay of Fort Dodge, sister Josette (Michael) White of Fort Dodge, sister Marcie (Todd) Welter of Fort Dodge, nephews Josh Praim and Zach Praim, niece Sammantha Welter, honorary niece Lenja Szarbinowski, grandmother Lorraine Kay of Holstein, IA, numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.

He was preceded by his grandparents Donald and Catherine Pratt, and his grandfather Walter Kay.

Trent Eugene Kay was born on April 7, 1983, in Fort Dodge. He was raised and educated here and went to Fort Dodge Senior High School. Following his education Trent worked at various jobs and was very handy with anything mechanical. He enjoyed the outdoors whether he was shooting his bow and arrows, fishing, or hunting. Trent was an avid bowler that played in many leagues, and he also had numerous 300 games. He would also ride motocross dirt bikes and enjoyed watching football. Trent will deeply missed by all who knew him.
