Valerie Susan Reinholtz

Valerie Reinholtz, 71, of Fort Dodge passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home.

A Celebration of Life service will be Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Redemption Church, Fort Dodge. A time for visiting will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church. Laufersweiler Funeral Home is serving the family.

Valerie is survived by her daughters Amy (Jason) Seehusen and Angela (Steve) Zdrazil both of Fort Dodge. She is also survived by her grandchildren Alyssa (Nolan) Cook, Zachary Schwering, Breanna Peters, Mya Zdrazil, Izabella Zdrazil, Savanah Seehusen, Cole Seehusen, a great grandson Kayden Cook, half brothers Scott Cutting, Dean Cutting, and Shawn Cutting.

Valerie was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Reinholtz in 1996, parents Joseph and Margaret Peed, sisters Donna Peed, Gertrude Robeson and a brother Melvin Peed.

Valerie was born on August 1, 1952, she was raised and educated in Manson, graduating from Manson High School. She then attended and graduated from Bernel College of Cosmetology. Valerie Peed was united in marriage to Tom Reinholtz in 1971. They farmed and made their home near Manson. In 1995, the couple moved to town. Valerie owned and operated Agape Salon until she became ill. Valerie was a hard worker that didn’t know how to sit still, so she also worked part-time at Berry Hearing Aid and Audiology Center and Casey’s. In her free time, Valerie loved to garden and crochet. She was a member of Womens Aglow. She will be deeply missed especially by her daughters and grandkids.
