Vinnie Harvey

Vincent "Vinnie" Harvey, 23, of Fort Dodge passed away Sunday, August 25, 2019. Funeral services are 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2019 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and then a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. at SACRED HEART CHURCH. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visiting hours will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at CORPUS CHRISTI CHURCH with a Vigil service at 2:45 p.m. before the visitation begins. Vinnie is survived by his parents, Joe and Kelly (McCarville) Harvey; siblings, Frankie (Josie Heesch) of Fort Dodge; Teddie of Des Moines; Eddie of Lexington, KY; Corie (Sean) Inks of Williams; Maggie; Gracie; Josie all of Fort Dodge; maternal grandma, Lorraine Wignall; nephews, Carson Inks; Thielen Fausnaugh and niece, Emmersyn Inks. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Peggy Harvey and maternal grandfather, Richard Wignall. Vincent Richard Harvey was born December 30, 1995 in Fort Dodge. Born into a large family and as sibling number five, there was plenty of rough housing to go around. Fishing with his brothers was a birth rite and it was a must (and later in life, a choice) to love the Minnesota Vikings. As a 2014 graduate of Saint Edmond High School, Vinnie had a long list of athletic accomplishments in football and wrestling that he continued at Iowa Central Community College. After college, family continued to be very important to Vinnie. He worked with his dad and was a brother his sisters could always count on for a laugh. If he wasn't watching the WWE or sitting on a dock listening to music you could find Vinnie at the gym, lifting weights and rattling off movie quotes with his friends. The family lake house was his absolute favorite place to be. His best friends were his brothers and sisters and his friends were like family to Vinnie. He will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the family's discretion.
