Viola Ellen Grall

Viola E. Grall, 85, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 3, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Barnett of Riverside United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Survivors include her son, David (Shirley) Grall of Dubuque; daughter, Susan (Dennis) Kox of Tucson, AZ; son-in-law, John Trexler of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Chad Grall, Michelle Pickler, and Kris Shade; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Etta Mae Blair of Fort Dodge; Ralph Bryan of Badger; and Lorraine Wingerson of Footville, WS. She was preceded in death by her parents, William ("Jack") and Amy (Nelson) Bryan; husband, Charles Grall; daughter, Diane Trexler; sister, Doris Auten; and brothers, Francis and Melvin Bryan. Viola Ellen Bryan was born on May 28, 1928 in Perry, IA. As a young child she moved with her family to Fort Dodge where she attended schools and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. On July 31 1948, she was united in marriage to Charles Grall and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. She was a loving homemaker and caring mom. Viola was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
