Viola L. Mccarty

Viola L. McCarty, 93, of Fort Dodge passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Snook officiating. Burial will follow at Otho Cemetery. A visitation will be one hour prior at the funeral home. Viola was born April 9, 1920 the daughter of George and Jessie Snell in Blairsburg, Iowa. As a young girl she lived on a farm in Chokio, Minnesota. She then moved to Fort Dodge with her mother in 1969. In 1977, Viola was united in marriage to Dale McCarty and the couple established their home in Kalo. Viola is survived by her grandsons, Kevin Anderson and family of Otho; Kirk Anderson of Somers; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale; brothers, Louis and Evert Snell; sisters, Mrs. Vern Anderson; and Mrs. Georgia Anderson. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
