Vivian Marie Crinnigan

Vivian M. Crinnigan, 88, of Fort Dodge, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25th at 4:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Andrea Kraushaar, officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, July 24th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home. Survivors include her children, David Crinnigan of Fort Dodge; William Crinnigan of Santa Barbara, CA; Sue Black and her husband Joe of Fort Dodge; Carol Crinnigan of Fort Dodge; and Annie Crinnigan of Waukee; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; and her sister, Ethel Daniels of Fort Dodge; brothers-in-law, Ike Nelson and Don Taylor both of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lucinda (Porter) Davis; husband Dwayne Crinnigan; grandson Patrick Black; brothers, Merle Davis, who the family lost in WWII; and Marvin Davis; sisters, Hazel Messerly, Arlene Taylor, and Beverly Nelson. Vivian Marie Davis was born on May 7, 1926 in Fort Dodge. She attended schools here and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1945. On October 19, 1946 she was united in marriage to Dwayne "Dave" Crinnigan at the Methodist Church in Ames, Iowa and the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. Vivian worked for 16 years at Younkers and then at Hy-Vee in the bakery for 16 years. Following her retirement she worked part time at the Fitness Factory. Vivian was blessed in her later years with the companionship and love of Ray Ault, Fort Dodge. She was very proud of her family, and was a devoted wife and mother who will be deeply missed. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
