William Joseph Culver

William J. Culver, 47, of Fort Dodge, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2016 at Community Tap and Pizza, Fort Dodge. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is serving the family. Bill is survived by his father, Kenneth Culver of Oregon; wife, Susan Culver of Fort Dodge; son, Jonathon (Breanna Davidson) Culver of Cedar Rapids; Phoenix Culver of Fort Dodge and her children, Serenity, Claudia, and Adam; numerous nieces and nephews; brother, Richard Culver of Clinton; sister, Annette Miller of Clinton; and many "adopted" children. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ellen (Powers) Culver; grandmother, Rose Mary Powers; and aunt, Bev Powers. William "Bill" Joseph Culver was born August 13, 1968 in Clinton and was raised there. Bill was united in marriage to Susan McKinzey on October 31, 1989 in Clinton. The couple moved to Fort Dodge in 1994, and Bill was employed with IBP. Bill liked penguins, had a passion for art, loved to paint, and also enjoyed computers and technology.
