Willie Mae Temple, 76, of Denver, Colorado and formerly of Fort Dodge, passed away on Friday, April 24 2015, at St. Paul's Rehabilitation Center in Denver. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Anderson officiating. A visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Willie is survived by her children, Millard Temple of Aurora, CO; Marvin Temple of Westminster, CO; Curtis Temple of Denver, CO; Renetta Pate of Highlands Ranch, CO; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Willie Smith; Mattie Preston both of Fort Dodge; Artie Pearl Nichleson; and Rose Jackson both of Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie O. & Tetom (Spear) Smith; a sister, Charlie Mae Brown; brothers, Thomas Carl Smith; Charles Howard Smith; John Henry Smith; Thomas Harold Smith; and infant brother, JB Smith. Willie Mae Smith was born in Quitman, Mississippi on March 15, 1939. She graduated from Shirley Owems High School. After graduation she moved to Fort Dodge, where she raised four children. Following her retirement from Globe Union in 1994, Willie moved to Aurora, Colorado to be near her family. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
